It was probably the longest day and longest flight ever! Lots of people have said that for flying International, you should splurge and get the better seats. Well I went the least expensive route and got economy. Totally do-able, but not great!
We ended up leaving late from San Francisco, got into Auckland - had to catch a bus to the domestic terminal, then check our bag, and go through security again to our flight to Christchurch. Barely made it, just in time!
Arrived to Christchurch about 9am Thursday morning.
Dina & Charlie(our friends who live in Methven) came & picked us up.
They proceeded to take us to Akaroa which is East of Christchurch. Great little port city.
Went to lunch at The Brasserie.
Great food!
We spent some time walking around the town. Cute shops, French influence, beautiful scenery & good conversation.
Fun in the park!

Hmm...well if you don't know, I'd advise not to eat them.
Story of our lives -
Left Akaroa and headed back to Charlie & Dina's. Got situated, cleaned up & Charlie made us homemade pizzas & of course we had some wine. Thank you for dinner & drinks & dessert!
So tired! It's 9:15pm and we're going to bed. Tomorrow is Good Friday so we might be going for a couple hikes, get some scenic views in & just enjoy being on vacation!
